A set of nine Bordeaux porcelain plates with a contoured rim, decorated in polychrome and gold with a bouquet of flowers in the center, surrounded by gilded twigs, and on the rim with garlands of flowers alternating with small yellow diamonds containing a pansy. This set is completed by a pair of sugar bowls with a sticky top, most likely decorated in Bordeaux. The quality of the painting is identical to our plates. These two sugar bowls are made of Paris porcelain from the Locré factory.
The plates are marked VV in gold, Verneuilh et Vanier factory.
The sugar bowls bear the blue mark of the Locré factory, also known as the "Fabrique de la Courtille" on Rue de la Fontaine-au-Roy
18th century.
