Two Winterthur earthenware stove plates - Late 17th - Early 18th century

Two rectangular stove plates in Winterthur street earthenware with polychrome decoration representing for one, Venus standing on a three-quarter stele holding a flaming

heart in her right hand and an arrow in her left and the inscription above VENUS and for the other the allegory of Justice a young woman holding a scale in her left hand

and brandishing a sword in her right, above the inscription "Gerechtigkeit" for Justice.

They are presented in a dark wooden frame.
