Nevers - Large Virgin and Child - Seventeenth century - SOLD

Large crowned Virgin and Child in Nevers earthenware with polychrome decoration, the Virgin holds an apple in her right hand,

she rests on a base decorated with a cherub.

High: 45cm

Seventeenth century

Restoration: with three points of the crown, the head of the child Jesus glued.

Model very close to the Saint-Eutrope church in Arquian in the Nièvre - Reproduced in the catalog of the exhibition at the Ducal

Palace of Nevers in 2002 (No. 26) Classified as a Historic Monument on November 9, 1976.
