Circular ivory box, interior lined with tortoiseshell, the lid decorated with a miniature representing the flight of a hot air balloon above the Tuileries Garden, in a gold entourage carved with a frieze of flowers. Work from the end of the eighteenth century. The first balloon flight took place in the Tuileries Garden on December 1, 1783.
